Ha! Haven't seen so many personalize plates since I helped an architect boyfriend renovate a 200 year old cabin in the Shennandoah Valley.

I once took a trip to visit some of those people I'd met around the world who'd said, 'Hey, if you're ever in X, come stay with us." An odd and wonderful thing then, to meet up with an older couple I'd met sailing in Antigua, to stay with them in Skibbereen, Ireland. And, to take a train to Odense, Denmark, to visit the family apple orchard - a family I'd met traveling with 2 toddlers in Bali, Indonesia.

And Odense? Who would have guessed -I have pictures of the orchard on my kitchen wall and my one Danish friend here in the USA looked at them and said, "Hey, I know where that is."

The reconnections.... the crossing of paths.. I could go on....
