Thanks Jon. I am confident the march of human civilization, the left foot - right foot steps forward across History and Herstory, has prepared enough women to be able to move next in service what we all need for Ourstory. Aren't those words fabulous! His-story, Her-story and Our-story. I saw them in this video Waking in the Globe Heart by Anodea Judith.

A profound post - too much for me to truly comment on except to applaud the attempt to go to such depth. Besides, I am a man, what would I know? :-) But I like the concluding paragraphs. In support of which....Just a couple of thoughts really about what leadership means.
Firstly that it puts into my mind the phrase Cindy Wigglesworth uses "First, lead yourself with such authenticity and depth that others will choose to follow".
And second, that I support the idea that leadership cannot be measured by the number of women in executive positions, not only because this is SO limited a view of what constitutes leadership but also because some of the women leaders I have worked around have got to their positions by emulating the worst of male behaviour models, not by exhibiting the strengths and wisdoms of the feminine and often not by supporting other women. As they said of Margaret Thatcher - she was the best man they had.
For over half of my life, women's emergence has seemed to be in reaction to the past, and thus in a way defined by men's history. I'm not criticising - it's inevitable under the circumstances - but it was a necessary start, not a desirable end-point. When we rebel against our parents, that does not make us free from them - just trapped in opposite polarities. Hopefully this blog is a sign that the world has moved or is moving beyond that stage. That's exciting, and in my view just what men need.

"Is there one person male or female, if they are being totally honest with themselves, who wouldn’t welcome having a candid, informed and enlightened conversation about the mysteries of the female orgasm?" - I love this and I agree! As soon as the shock wears off that I work with people around issues with sex, people love to talk about it. Everyone has such interesting questions and experiences. I think Daedone's new book highlights this PLUS gives some guidance that I had never heard before, helpful and beautiful advice. Great blog post, I love it!
