Engage

I am attentive to a process of Business Development I co-opted from a book while doing some research;

Engage
Align
Deepen
Partner
(I don’t remember who I co-opted this from, when I find it I’ll come back and pay proper credit.)

If our paths have crossed, which they have if you are reading this post, my interest is in following a Trail of Curiosity as an engagement process.

Here’s what I am curious about you:

  1. What lights you up?
  2. What is your purpose?
  3. What questions are you asking?
  4. What problems are you trying to solve?
  5. What is in the way of achieving your dreams?
  6. Where, if at all, are we aligned?

Here are my answers to the same questions:

What lights me up?
In general, finding the sweet-spot in the tension that is created between existing polarities. Where is the action that includes attraction and rejection found in my relationships? It involves engaging at the edge of my limitations. It’s where the juice is for me. It gets me out of bed or off the chair in front of my computer and moving!

This week what is lighting me up is strategy, creating and executing a full court strategy.

What is my purpose?
In 2001, I did some regression therapy, tapping into my unconscious with Janet Cunningham.  In one of those sessions, my highest purpose was revealed:  to learn to love myself and then to love others.

My life purpose is to be a part of the solution, rather than a part of the problem.  I am finding it to be a never ending quest!

What questions am I asking asking?
What’s next? What’s changed? What can I trust? What do I want?

What problem am I trying to solve?
How to contribute to the creation of support systems that create an environment for myself, others, organizations, communities and eventually nations to thrive.

What is in the way of achieving my dreams?
When it’s not me in the way of me, then usually it’s Time and Resources. But if you are reading this, then maybe what’s in the way is the distance between us and you are what is needed. I can’t achieve my dreams by myself.

Where, if at all, are we aligned?
I won’t have an answer until I know more about you.
