Who I am, what I do and how I see the world are significantly informed by a profound body work known as Spiral Dynamics integral.
It’s gaining momentum and more and more people are attracted to the framework, insights and sense making that results from understanding it. AND it is a very complex model with a simple color coding illustration. I often say that learning Spiral Dynamics is like learning math. Both are complexity models about solving problems with intelligence. The first step to learning math is learn the numbers. Likewise the first step to learning Spiral Dynamics is learning the colors. Yet the elegance of mathematics is found in the dynamics of the numbers and the elegance of the Spiral is in the dynamics of the color codes levels, not just in the levels themselves.
In 2004, I produced, wrote and narrated this 20 minute introduction to Spiral Dynamics called Beautiful Noise as a way to help explain quickly and simply the model and it’s relevance for governing ourselves.
